Al-Doms’ most recent project, NEW DREAM, has already received widespread attention. His latest single, ‘Rat Race’, has been given a stunning visual accompaniment. The Aaron Dee-directed piece develops from the almost serene shots of Al-Doms interacting with friends into a violent, cinematic conclusion that matches the intensity crescendo of the music. His sound is rooted in artists his sisters showed him when he was growing up, but Al-Doms’ music has developed beyond his inspirations and into something unique. Lyrically driven with a rhythmic flow and twisting and turning beats; he is certainly one to watch. -Dan Peeke
